Atmosphere Designs - Large Paper Flower Walls

Paper flowers in the making - in my studio!
Good day my Lovelies!
A couple of years ago I had the pleasure to work with a fabulous lady,
 Gue from ATMOSPHER DESIGNS.
Gue wanted to design large paper flower walls for a special event and I helped by making the paper flowers...This project was one of my very first BIG Paper Flower Backdrop project to work on: making flowers to cover 3 large walls...It sure was a workout...truly a labor of love...But now seeing the photos...I have a huge feeling of pride...to see my paper blooms so beautifully displayed...It warms my heart!
Gue was a total delight to work with...I'm definitely looking forward to future collaboration!

  1. Can you pleas tell me what type of backdrop stand you used for the flower walls. I am looking to buy one and just want to make sure I get the right one.

    Thank you

    1. Good morning!
I believe Atmosphere Designs used their own structures to mount the flowers that were first hot glues on large felt fabric sheets then they attach to the metal structure!
--> When I mount the flowers for my local clients, if they have a wall that need coverage...I use large styrofoam boards that I find at my local Hardware Store in the insulation section. The boards come in white and usually in 4ftx8ft format! I like to buy the 2inches thick for more sturdiness! I hot glue the flowers directly on the boards! What I like with that is its lightweight to transport!

What do you think of the fabulous cover?
The photo was taking by the talented Caroline Langevin and thanks to the super sweet shop owner Mélanie Paulin of Carte Blanche  (official Annie Sloan Stockist) we were able to use her fabulous space to take a few shots!

Paper Couture by Paper&Peony

Hello lovelies! It's been a while since my last post but there is so many good reasons for that!
First, let me share with you one of my favourite project of this summer so far! Victoria, one of team member of Design 42 contacted me with an image of a famous painting  by Anna Halldin Maule as inspiration. (image above)
For so long I wanted to create paper couture pieces but time always ran short... When Victoria asked if I could replicate in a smaller scale the headpiece for one of her bride, I said YES!
I first started by designing a prototype so Victoria and her bride could see and feel  what could be the final product.  Once they received it...the project was confirmed and the creating process began! I had to built it in a way that it was conformable to wear so, since I source a lot of my materials on Etsy, I found Debra from Aunt Lily's Shop  who sales millinery supplies. I ordered round hat/fascinator base that I mounted on a wide fabric covered headband. I literally los…

Interview for a radio show and a virtual tour of my studio!

Hello Lovelies!  I had the pleasure to spend some times with the lovely Anne Godin, a radio host for CBC (Radio-Canada) called "Tout un samedi". We talked about how I started my ever so blooming paper flower business, some of my best art projects and of course we talked about my book!
